After the race
Recovery
Recovery spots for racers are coming. Until then, here's the heat guidance that matters most in the desert.
Coming soon: a short list of recovery spots (cold plunge, sauna, massage, physical therapy and healthy food near the start lines). We only list places we can confirm. Run one? Email hello@racelasvegas.com. Listings are free.
Heat comes first
The National Weather Service's heat guidance applies to racers as much as anyone. Reschedule strenuous activity to the coolest part of the day. Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing. Drink water and other non-alcoholic fluids even if you don't feel thirsty. Don't take salt tablets unless a physician tells you to. Learn the warning signs: heat stroke is a medical emergency, so call 911.
What a recovery listing will show
Each recovery listing will show what the place offers, the neighborhood, a link to its own website, our source and the date we checked it, and whether the owner has claimed it. We won't publish prices or hours we can't confirm, and we won't take bookings or payments on this site.
